About Camp
Our Purpose
Camp Schafer is a facility that exists for the purpose of providing a place where Baptist churches and associations can empower kingdom growth by doing evangelism and discipleship in the name of Jesus Christ.  Through week camps, retreats, and picnics the camp provides an environment in its facilities and activities that encourages and promotes spiritual guidance and development.
  1. Setting
    Camp Schafer is located in the wooded hills of Hancock County, three miles north of Pellville, Kentucky, on State Road 2181. This secluded 112 acre setting provides a peaceful atmosphere for those wanting to get away from the distractions of everyday life and creates the opportunity to focus on God and the beauty of His creation.
  2. Accomodations
    Camp Schafer accommodates up to 130 guests at a time during the summer and 150 guests at a time year round. A Mission Cottage provides housing for camp personnel or small adult retreat groups of up to 10 guests. Case Hall provides heated or air conditioned dining and meeting areas year round for all groups. The Multi-Purpose Facility provides a heated or air conditioned worship area with a stage and is good for indoor sports and activities . This building also houses our canteen.
  3. Recreational Activities
    There is an array of outdoor activities available such as basketball, volleyball, life-size foosball, fishing, 19 hole disc golf, 9 hole foot golf, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating and swimming. The Old Chapel Game Room provides an indoor recreational area for games such as foosball, ping pong and more. For summer swimming certified lifeguards are on duty. Call for details.
